A: Allot of people don’t like being in front of the camera, it’s natural. The way I work makes it easy, we’ll have a plan before we shoot, and my camera is attached to a computer so you’ll see what we’re shooting as we shoot it.
Very quickly you’ll find you’re very involved in the picture making, and we work together and I’ll show you a few tricks – you’ll surprise yourself how quickly you will feel confident and relax.
A: After being welcomed and shown around, we will look again at our reference images for inspiration. Then we'll decide our first shot, and make a start, it's very relaxed, no pressure.
A: Yes – it really is that simple. Bringing a friend can be a good plan, you're likely to feel more confident and you can get a second opinion on the images as we shoot.
A: Yes, the shoot is all about you and your ink and it makes sense that a friend or partner may be an important part of your story you and you want on set with you, and if you have had your tattoos together it makes even more sense.
A: Usually we have some images as inspiration, some people just bring their garments, other curate their look very carefully. You may want clothes (or props) you like or that mean something to you, there are no rules and no wrong answers. What does matter is they are washed and ideally ironed, if you run out of time I do have a steamer here.
A: This is a tricky question because it depends on the shoot, on a 'Bronze' shoot you should be able to change 2-3 times.
On Silver and Gold shoots where will be changing sets/concepts it’s more complex because lighting needs to move, it is in effect a complete reset we may be able to shoot 3-4 concepts/ideas in 3-4 hours, but they will be far more creative .
There is no easy answer to this, to give you a context if I’m on location usually I expect to shoot around 8-10 complete changes of set or location and new lighting set up in a full day, more with an assistant.
If you are looking for the style of work I produce talk to me, my style works well for fitness, athletes, influencers, and models (and new faces) who want something special for their socials. My fashion work can be way more edgy than what's shown here If you are looking for general family portraiture this is not for you I'm afraid.
